Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz latest invention: The BO-AT

Thursday, 28 January 2010 22:30 Written by David H. Johnston
Dr. DoofenshmirtzIf you have kids (and cable) there is a good chance that the Disney television show, Phineas and Ferb gets watched in your house. If you don’t have kids that’s ok; just know that you are missing out on the best cartoon television show that Disney has put out ever. It’s filled with weird looking kids, really funny adventures; and a secret agent platypus that fights his nemesis, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

So why bring it up tonight? One of tonight’s stories involved Dr. Doofenshmirtz trying to take over the tri-state area with some evil scheme once again. His secret weapon this time? The BO-AT.

The Phineas and Ferb Wikia describes it best:

The BO-AT (pronounced:bow-at) or Buoyancy Operated Aquatic Transport was the "new" invention Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz wanted to market when he planned on flooding Danville. Described as being like a car that can drive on water, the BO-AT was really just a Motorboat. His scheme was to open the Danville Dam and create a city like Venice, Italy or, according to him, to a lesser extent, Venice, California so that people would have to buy his BO-AT.

The scheme was foiled when Agent P opened the M.O.A.T. also known as the Metropolitan Oval Aquatic Trench which then diverted all the water into going around Danville.

You can watch the 10 minute episode yourself here. Dr. Doofenshmirtz comes on around the 4 minute mark but the whole episode is some quality kids television indeed.
