Event: Environmental Issues and Practices for the Paddling Community

Ontario Recreational Canoe & Kayak AssociationThe seminar will be interactive where all participants are encouraged to share ideas on techniques and solutions to the environmental challenges we face every time we head out into the wilderness. Experts will be brought to the seminar to help us sort out fact and fiction and bring to our attention the many environmental issues now facing our wilderness. An Eco-Camp will be set-up outside which will be used as a backdrop to open discussion on varies topics such as campfire practice, Kitchen techniques, campsite selection etc. Participants will break into small groups and tour the Eco-Camp and share ideas.
